Hesen Serif was born in 1969 in the village of Ketse in Duhok, Kurdistan. Hesen Şerif, who has been interested in Kurdish music since his childhood, starts playing the instrument at the age of 11. The artist, who chose music as a way of life at the age of 16, released his first album "Tembura Mın" in 1985 and "Baran Bari" in 1986.
